Silly counterculture pop song/video, right?
Consider, however, that Ninja and Yolandi (Die Antwoord) are chaos magick practitioners and wrote both the song and script...
The first verse is Ninja seeking pleasure, love, though he is unrequited and denied - yet devoted. Ending with "I worship you" toward Yolandi.
Second verse is Yolandi accepting his state as animal but seeks to discipline him, "Down boy". She reveals she's interested and wants him though she can sense his conflicted emotions. Ending with "Make me yours" toward Ninja.
In the video Ninja is barely restrained by his worst tendencies (the bad kid), and when released pursues his base desires (hunger and sex). Culminating in 'killing' or 'consuming' one cat while 'consummating' with the other.
Enter Yolandi:
When Yolandi's verse starts she personifies the tarot card The High Priestess.
The High Priestess represents the indwelling divine presence. Through her a human can be initiated into the higher mysteries (the Ultimate, or Divinity).
The black and white pillars Boaz (In It is strength) and Jachin (It will establish) are resurrected to her sides.
Ninja pursues initiation but is overwhelmed by Ego (manifested in his base desires still ruling him).
Only by overcoming hunger/anger and lust/desire one can break free of Ego and the higher self can be elevated but to do this the animal-human must die.
Ninja gets hit by a bus.
Then through the Priestess (initiation) can he be reborn a human free of his animal constraints. Yolandi passes the pneuma to Ninja. Then Ninja awakens more human "fucking with the Ultimate"; Ninja is now pursuing godhood (or communion with the divine) through his initiation.
Or it's just two crazy South African musicians. Could go either way.
